DBT psychological therapy services Brighton Sussex

What we offer

Brighter Horizons Brighton provides specialist therapies and treatment across Brighton, East Sussex and Eastbourne. We offer a range of therapies including full and modified Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for those with a BPD/EUPD (Borderline or Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder) diagnosis, DBT-informed approaches for people who identify with the difficulties associated with BPD/EUPD but who have not received a diagnosis and a family/partner/friend consultation package for those around someone with a BPD/EUPD diagnosis who want to develop an enhanced understanding and ways of approaching the difficulties their loved one faces.

Even if you have not received a personality disorder diagnosis, if you can relate to any of the following experiences, we believe that a DBT-informed approach could be helpful:
  • Emotions feeling chaotic and unpredictable
  • Experiencing periods in which you feel very intense emotions and periods in which you feel numb
  • Feeling angry or full of rage
  • Having difficulties in close relationships
  • Relying on others to make decisions for you or even tell you what you feel
  • Self-harming in some way (including disordered eating)
  • Engaging in impulsive or reckless behaviours
If you identify with any of these or similar experiences and would like help in understanding and changing the patterns you have fallen into, please contact us for information on the services we can offer.
