About Us
Brighter Horizons Brighton is a collaboration of highly trained therapists providing specialist Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in Brighton, Sussex and online. We provide compassionate, evidence-based DBT in both individual and group formats, following the NICE (2009) guidelines for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), also known as Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). Practitioners work as independent therapists and see both adults and adolescents providing both DBT and a range of other NICE compliant treatments. Our supportive approach includes all four core modes of the evidence-based DBT model: weekly individual sessions (in person or online), group skills training (online), between-session skills coaching, and weekly consultation meetings. Practitioners offer full DBT programmes as well as individualised and DBT-informed therapy, working with people who have a BPD/EUPD diagnosis or those who relate to the emotional and relational difficulties associated with it. Face-to-face appointments are available across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex (Eastbourne) and West Sussex (Worthing), online appointments are available both during the day and evening. A number of practitioners also specialise in trauma-based therapies including EMDR and DBT-based trauma treatments.
